Liverpool have a wonderful history in the FA Cup, having won the tournament seven times, but they have not lifted the trophy since 2006.
Can Jurgen Klopp change this?
The German took over the reigns at Liverpool last season and brought them to the final in both the League Cup and Europa League.
His luck in the FA Cup was a little different, with the Merseyside team crashing out to West Ham in the early stages of the competition.
That being said, Klopp does have an excellent pedigree in cup competitions.
With his former side, Borrusia Dortmund, he won the German Cup in 2011-12. He also almost won the competition in his final year with the club, when Dortmund were unlucky to lose to Bayern Munich on penalties.
Liverpool’s last good run in the competition was during the season before Klopp took over as manager. That year they got all the way to the semi-finals, eventually losing to Aston Villa in Wembley.
If you fancy Klopp to bring this Liverpool side a couple of steps further this year and win the competition, you can back Liverpool at around 8/1 in most bookmakers.
It is not a bad price, especially considering this team has already defeated two of their biggest rivals, Chelsea and Arsenal, this season.
