Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has told his side to make the most of the upcoming fixture schedule heading their way, one which sees the team competing across three fronts.
The Citizens defeated Middlesbrough 2-0 on Saturday to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup and prepare to face AS Monaco in the second leg of their Champions League round-of-16 clash on Wednesday with a 5-3 lead from the first fixture.
City are currently third in the Premier League and sit 11 points off leaders Chelsea, and they face fourth-placed Liverpool next Sunday with a chance to make up lost ground.
Speaking after Saturday’s victory, Guardiola said: “The Monaco game and against Liverpool before the international break will define our season. Every game you play, you have to play well, try to win and show the opponent you are there to win.”
