Tensions are at fever pitch ahead of the 2017 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia, where 2016 U.S. Open champion Dustin Johnson has been priced as the odds leader heading into a blockbuster weekend of action.
Johnson tied for fourth in his trip to Augusta last year but has been tipped to go the whole way in 2017, with fellow American Jordan Spieth and Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy following him closely in the stakes.
The four-day showdown tees off on Thursday, April 6 and will run until Sunday, April 9, at which point we’ll see a new champion crowned in the famous green blazer. The underdogs will be hopeful of causing an upset in the tournament, too, considering Danny Willett emerged from obscurity to take home the title in 2016.
Other favourites for this year’s championship include Hideki Matsuyama, Jason Day and Phil Mickelson.
