Formula One Dates: Sebastian Vettel Chinese Grand Prix Odds Shorten After Australia Win

Sebastian Vettel’s chances of 2017 glory appear to have taken a distinct turn for the better ahead of next Sunday’s Chinese Grand Prix, with the German currently on a par with Lewis Hamilton with some bookmakers.

Mercedes star Hamilton unsurprisingly entered this season as the clear odds favourite to take the 2017 crown, except Vettel’s victory at the Australian Grand Prix last Sunday—where Hamilton finished second, followed by team-mate Valtteri Bottas—has thrown a spanner in the works.

Bottas is a distant third in the bookmakers’ stakes, with Ferrari’s Vettel streaks ahead and level with Hamilton in many cases.

The time difference in Shanghai’s schedule means the April 9 race will begin bright and early at 7 a.m. GMT (2 p.m. local time), while Saturday’s qualifying session starts just an hour later at 8 a.m. GMT (3 p.m. local time).
