The 2017 Chinese Grand Prix gets underway on Sunday, April 9, where title frontrunner Lewis Hamilton will be looking to make up for the runner-up finish he scored in this season’s Formula 1 opener.
That came after Ferrari speedster Sebastian Vettel stormed to the head of the pack at the Australian Grand Prix last month, zipping to the top of the leaderboard despite the fact it was Hamilton who started on the pole.
Despite his failure to clinch top spot in Melbourne, Mercedes’ leading star remains the hot favourite to steal victory in Shanghai, while Vettel and Hamilton’s new team-mate, Valtteri Bottas, are the favoured trio to make up the top three finishers.
Hamilton has won the Chinese Grand Prix three times in his career, all of which came in world championship-winning seasons for the Briton, with the exception of his Shanghai victory in 2011.
