Lewis Hamilton succeeded in adding the first win of his 2017 Formula One season after blazing to victory in Sunday’s Chinese Grand Prix, and the Mercedes superstar is again odds leader to take top spot at the Bahrain Grand Prix next weekend.
The Briton beat German Sebastian Vettel to the finish line in Shanghai and is now a 5/6 (1.83) favourite to take first place at Bahrain International Circuit next Sunday.
Ferrari flash Vettel isn’t far behind in the stakes, however, and is currently 7/4 (2.75) to snatch his second win of the year in the season’s third race, with partner Kimi Raikkonen a more distant pick at 8/1 (9.00).
Hamilton’s team-mate, Valtteri Bottas, took third at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix last month and is now a 7/1 (8.00) shot to add a first win of 2017 in Bahrain, with the rest of the field at much longer odds of 33/1 (34.00) and higher, according to the bookmakers.
