While Michelle Obama will always be the First Lady of fashion, actual First Lady Melania Trump has been making some stylish sartorial choices of late. Melania has kept a relatively low profile since husband Donald’s inauguration in January, but put her best fashion foot forward this week while making several high-profile appearances. She first wowed in a striking green dress while meeting with the King and Queen of Jordan while opting for a £3000 Valentino red dress for dinner with Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan last night. The choice to wear red was a smart one as it is China’s favourite colour known to exemplify luck and happiness.
While Melania keeps the fashion stakes high, bettors are having a field day wagering on Mrs Trump. There are odds in place for Melania never moving into the White House, which are 5/1, while the odds of Melania leaving Trump in 2017 are 16/1. There are also 80/1 odds of Melania running for president in 2020 and 100/1 odds of the First Lady being deported in 2017.
