The 2017 Premier League Darts campaign will head to Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena on Thursday as the second phase of the season draws to a climactic close, with only three match days remaining before the play-offs are finalised.
And reigning champions Michael van Gerwen is still priced at low odds of 4/9 (1.44) to retain his crown later this year, with next-favourite Peter Wright a fairly distant-looking 5/1 (6.00) in comparison.
Van Gerwen leads Wright by two points at the head of the standings coming to Birmingham, coming to the venue as the only player already mathematically qualified for a post-season run as things stand.
Five matches will be played on Thursday evening beginning at 7 p.m. BST, with Van Green in action against Dave Chisnall before returning for a showdown with Adrian Lewis—who will also feature twice—at the end of the evening.
