It’s the end of the first week of the 2017 Major League Baseball season and things are in full ‘swing’. The most notable event was the historic comeback from the Angels. The Angels entered the bottom of the ninth down 9-3 but managed to fight their way to a seven-run ninth inning to beat the Mariners. This sent the Mariner’s reeling as they entered the bottom of the ninth inning with a 9-3 lead, which seems like a sure win. Although in baseball, as with all sports, things can change in an instant. Albert Pujols got things in motion for the Angels with a home run – the 592nd in his career. This was followed by great play from Cliff Pennington, C.J Cron and Ben Revere. Things just got more interesting from there as Yunel Escobar, Kole Calhoun, Mike Trout and Pujols stepped up to the plate. Final score: Angels 10, Mariners 9.
The Mariners, as depressed as they may be, are on their way to take on the Houston Astros, with odds of 23/20 for team 1 and 8/11 for team 2. The Tampa Bay Rays at New York Yankees has odds of 5/4 for Team 1 and 4/6 for Team 2, while the Boston Red Sox at Detroit Tigers has odds of 20/23 for the first team and 20/21 for the second.
