Arsenal contract rebel Alexis Sanchez has said he’s clear on where he’ll be playing his football next season, although he’s not ready to reveal just where that might be yet.
The winger is currently on international duty with Chile as they prepare to face Germany in the final of the 2017 Confederations Cup on Sunday, although speculation over his Gunners future has followed him to Russia.
Sanchez was recently asked if he knew which club he’d be representing next season, to which he replied, per ESPN: “Yes it’s clear but I can’t tell you.”
Manchester City have been the most heavily linked club to recruit Sanchez of late, and when quizzed on whether he’d be playing alongside Chile team-mate Claudio Bravo at the Etihad Stadium next term, he replied: “Good question. Right now I’m focused on the Confederations Cup. When this is finished I will see if I stay or if I go. I don’t know.”
The former Barcelona forward played under city boss Pep Guardiola in Catalonia and is 6/4 (2.50) to join the Citizens—having now entered the final year of his Arsenal contract—although he remains a 11/10 (2.10) favourite to remain at the Emirates.
