We still have eight months to wait until the majors return to men’s golf, but that hasn’t prevented bookmakers giving their early take on who we might see succeed at next year’s Masters.
And Tiger Woods is at huge odds to pull off what would be a dramatic win in Augusta, having been priced at 100/1 (101.00) to win a fifth green jacket in 2018 with Westgate Las Vegas Superbook.
The news comes after BBC Sport reported Woods had five different drugs in his system when he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in May, including “a mixture of strong painkillers, sleep and anxiety drugs and THC, which is a chemical component of marijuana.”
It’s been nine years since Woods last won a major title and four years since his last competition victory.
Meanwhile, Jordan Spieth—who won the Masters in 2015—has been listed as a 7/1 (8.00) top shot to add a second title to his list of achievements, just in front of fellow former champion Rory McIlroy, who comes in at 8/1 (9.00).
