Harry Kane may have missed Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday, but the England frontman is still at small odds to win the Premier League Golden Boot award for the third year running.
Kane won the gong in both 2015-16 and 2016-17 but is on course to finish as the division’s most prolific asset, priced at 2/1 (3.00) with Bet365 to do so.
United summer signing Romalu Lukaku is listed at 4/1 (5.00) and looks the most likely to challenge for his throne. He sits on seven goals—one behind Kane—alongside Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling of Manchester City.
Sterling isn’t fancied to continue this kind of form, however, and is out at 20/1 (21.00) in the Golden Boot stakes, while Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata, despite having scored only six so far this term, comes in ahead of him at 10/1 (11.00).
Alexis Sanchez, meanwhile, may have challenged in the past, but doesn’t look likely to do so again in 2017-18. Transfer gossip and speculation over whether he’ll even remain at Arsenal has left the two-goal scorer way out at 80/1 (81.00) with little chance of posing a threat.
