A narrow victory at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday saw Manchester City remain five points clear at the top of the Premier League standings, but Manchester United have climbed closer to their bitter rivals in the betting stakes.
The Citizens dropped ever so slightly in favour to 1/5 (1.20), while United’s 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur edged them back to 8/1 (9.00), having come into Saturday’s clash against Spurs priced at 12/1 (13.00).
Tottenham were level on points with the Red Devils until Anthony Martial came off the bench to settle the difference between them at Old Trafford, although City remain the team to beat.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool also clinched wins on Saturday to keep the race for the top six close. The Blues edged Bournemouth 1-0 while the Gunners fought back to beat Swansea City 2-1, and they both sit one point behind Spurs in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Liverpool are another three points behind them and have been marooned with title odds of 100/1 (101.00) despite thumping Huddersfield Town 3-0.
