For the second year in a row, the European Rugby Challenge Cup final will be contested between an English team and a French equivalent as Gloucester prepare to face off against State Francais with this year’s title on the line.
The Cherry and Whites have a grand chance at continental silverware this season, according to the bookmakers, and they’ve been installed as 4/5 (1.80) underdogs to come out on the other end with a trophy to hand.
They’re only just behind Stage in the odds, however, as the Parisian outfit comes in a slim 4/6 (1.67) favourite, with this being their first time appearing in the competition’s final in four years.
Gloucester were more recently featured in the Challenge Cup decider and actually won the competition in 2015, its inaugural year being named as such following the tournament’s rebrand.
All things considered, this could be one final were the draw holds great value at 25/1 (26.00), with hardly anything to separate the two teams coming to Edinburgh.
