Kevin Durant made a return to the court during Sunday’s game between the Golden State Warriors and the Portland Trail Blazers, however, due to an injury sustained during the game, he is questionable for Game 2 on Wednesday. Despite the injury, Durant never exited the game and played for 35 minutes, scored a team-high of 32 points on a 12-of-20 shooting and enjoyed 11 rebounds in the team’s opening playoff game.
Although Durant was able to continue his play, the strained calf is on the same leg as his most recent sprain and bruise, which occurred in early March and caused him to sit out an entire month. In addition to Durant, Warriors guard Shaun Livingston is also questionable for Game 2 due to a right index finger sprain.
Despite his health problems, Durant still enjoys great odds for winning the NBA Finals MVP come the end of the season. The odds of the player winning the title are 11/5, while Stephen Curry leads the way with odds of 3/1 and LeBron James at 9/2.
