The Nashville Predators are in the process of pulling off a memorable Stanley Cup comeback after they defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 on Monday night to level this year’s best-of-seven series at two games apiece.
Calle Jarnkrok put the Predators into an early lead before Sidney Crosby pulled one back for the Penguins, while second-half goals from Frederick Gaudreau, Viktor Arvidsson and Filip Forsberg sealed the series-tying result.
However, the star of the show was Nashville goalkeeper Pekke Rinne, who pulled off an incredible 23 saves to ensure the Predators remain in with a shot at this season’s Stanley Cup.
Pittsburgh were out of sight after going two games up in the series and could be found at 1/6 (1.17), but their chances have since been decimated and now sit at 10/13 (1.77).
Nashville, on the other hand, were major 4/1 (5.00) underdogs this time last week, but back-to-back victories have pulled them up to 11/10 (2.10) as their chances of clinching a maiden Stanley Cup look to have improved immensely.
