Gennady Golovkin will clash against Saul “Canelo” Alvarez next month in what will undoubtedly be one of the most heavily anticipated boxing bouts of the 21st century so far.
No fewer than five titles will be put on the line as two middleweight monsters collide at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, although it’s favourite Golovkin who has more on the line.
At least in terms of championship metal, with the Kazakh fighter—currently listed as a 4/7 (1.57) frontrunner—set to defend his unified WBA, WBC, IBF and IBO belts.
Meanwhile, Alvarez will put The Ring middleweight championship up for grabs and the vacant lineal title will be snatched by the victor.
A little less than three weeks from the fight, Canelo is a 11/8 (2.38) underdog with William Hill to beat his elder and take the unified middleweight championship in what should be a matchup for the history books.
