The 2017 NFL season is only three weeks old, and despite the New England Patriots’ shaky start to the campaign, Tom Brady is the top pick to be named the regular season’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Brady has aided the Pats in responding to their Week 1 defeat at home to the Kansas City Chiefs and build a 2-1 record following wins over New Orleans and Houston, both wins he was essential in racking up.
Brady was a 7/2 (4.50) favourite for the MVP award at the start of the season and has even seen his odds improve to 10/3 (4.33) with BetVictor despite New England’s difficulties.
The quarter-backs are heavily tipped for the MVP gong, too, with Matt Ryan and Aaron Rodgers, of the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers, respectively, next in line for the accolade at 8/1 (9.00).
In fact, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot is the highest-plaed non-quarter-back competing for the prize and has been priced at 12/1 (13.00), Dallas having also won two and lost one game so far this term.
